Liverpool Main Stand, Disabled Refuge System

Within Liverpool’s iconic new Main Stand, T.G.Baker (Sound) designed and installed a Baldwin Boxall Omni-Care EVC (Emergency Voice Communication) system, comprising of a combined Disabled Refuge System to the two main escape stairs with thirty integrated Disabled WC systems all signalling on the same network.

Four networked master control panels are installed within the new stand, all of which indicate alarm calls from both the refuge points and Disabled WCs.

The system was designed and installed in accordance with both BS5839-9:2011: Code of Practice for design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of Emergency Voice Communication Systems and BS9999:2008: Code of practice for fire safety in the design, management and use of buildings.
