Tony Mott

Tony Mott

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR – HEAD OFFICE, GLASGOW

Tony joined T.G.Baker (Sound) as an electronics engineer in 1991 to design voice alarm and system products. In 1992 he helped the company win the prestigious TOA and S&CS Golden Ear Award for the development of the UPB01 Single Line Monitor.

Tony is recognised as a leading engineer and advisor within the installed sound industry in particular large format, networkable, PAVA installations found in stadiums and arenas.

Tony has spoken at various seminars including Dante AV Networking World and AES59 Sound Reinforcement.

Currently Tony is a member on the BS7827 committee reviewing the code of practice for designing, specifying, maintaining and operating emergency sound systems at sports venues.

Jason Longworth

Jason Longworth

REGIONAL DIRECTOR – BLACKBURN OFFICE

A graduate of electronic engineering at Liverpool University and a member of the Institute of Sound & Communication Engineer, Jason has 18 years’ experience withT.G.Baker (Sound) and heads up the Blackburn operation.

Responsible for a team of eighteen staff, Jason maintains a daily involvement within the sales, operations and the engineering sides of the business.

Jason has a passion for both sound and football which are a perfect match given the large number of football stadia within which T.G.Baker (Sound) currently operate.

Richard Macpherson

Richard Macpherson

SALES – HEAD OFFICE, GLASGOW

Richard started his career with T.G.Baker (Sound) back in 1988. Originally workshop based he soon progressed into a role within the installation team working on public address & voice alarm systems on sites throughout the U.K including Princes Quay Shopping Centre, Manchester United FC, Birmingham International and London Euston Railway Stations.

A technical sales opportunity arose with the opening of the Glasgow trade counter in 1998, selling to the trade on a supply only basis which soon developed into offering clients advice on system design and product selection.

Richard’s role now remains firmly in system sales, working closely with consultants, electrical contractors and end users, designing and specifying a wide range of systems.


Stuart Archibald

Stuart Archibald

SALES – HEAD OFFICE, GLASGOW

Stuart joined the Glasgow sales team in February 2016, helping to establish and grow the sales department into new areas primarily performance sound, lighting and audio visual.

Stuart has 30 years experience in the audio, lighting and AV industry as a live engineer, designer, project manager and project sales engineer.

Stuart has worked on a wide range of projects from Primary Schools to some of the UK’s most prestigious venues.

Andrew Plunkett

Andrew Plunkett

REGIONAL GENERAL MANAGER – BLACKBURN OFFICE

Andrew joined T.G.Baker (Sound) in 2003, initially to develop the group’s equipment distribution department, assisting also in the implementation of small scale public address solutions.

His role since has evolved with his industry experience to that of a major systems design and sales engineer for public address and voice alarm projects.

In recent years, this has culminated in the delivery of a number of significant stadium projects nationwide, including large-format bowl coverage and complex, distributed audio facilities for hospitality lounges and sports bars.

Barry Paterson

Barry Paterson

SALES – HEAD OFFICE, GLASGOW

Barry joinedT.G.Baker (Sound) in 1993 as an apprentice engineer and spent nearly 20 years working on various projects throughout the UK and Ireland.

He joined the sales team in 2011 and has been involved in the design and specification of public address, voice alarm and hearing assistance system contracts on projects ranging from small background music systems to football stadiums.


Chris Aspinall

Chris Aspinall

SECURITY DIVISION MANAGER – BLACKBURN OFFICE

With 28 years’ experience in the security industry and having served a full apprenticeship in heavy industry as an electrician, Chris has a strong electrical background.

Chris has attained an expert knowledge of a broad range of security systems including CCTV, IP surveillance systems, access control and biometrics. Joining Romers Electronics in 2004 as a senior engineer, he has progressed to the head the security division within T.G.Baker (Sound) following the 2006 take-over.

His responsibilities include liaising with clients, designing bespoke systems for client’s specific needs, coordinating service and maintenance, developing new business and project management. Chris is reliable, resourceful, tenacious, highly motivated and focused on providing good customer service.
