TRANSPORTATION

Waterloo Station – London

London Waterloo is the UK’s largest and busiest railway station and like many large railway stations it provided the T.G.Baker system designers with significant challenges.

Completed in phases beginning with the concourse area for the 2012 London Olympics, followed by the rest of the train shed and ancillary station areas after the games.

Waterloo Station now has a multi node, fully networked PAVA system compliant with BS5839.  Utilising Harman Intellivox Loudspeakers on the Concourse and Platforms and a mixture of conventional loudspeaker types throughout the rest of the public areas of the station.

Evacuation and Alert messages, emergency microphones, general PA announcements and automated train running messages are also broadcast through the PAVA system.

Waverley Station – Edinburgh

Edinburgh Waverley is the UK’s 2nd largest main line railway station by area.

A new PAVA system was designed, built and commissioned by T.G.Baker in 2013/2014.

The PAVA system at Edinburgh Waverley Station now has 4 remote node locations with a dedicated redundant fibre optic network.  This allows for fully networked PAVA system compliant with BS5839.  Tannoy QFlex intelligent loudspeakers have been installed on the Concourse and Platforms and a mixture of conventional loudspeaker types throughout the rest of the public areas of the station.

Evacuation and Alert messages, emergency microphones, general PA announcements and automated train running messages are also broadcast through the PAVA system.
